Part 1

As we are learning, perception is a term used to describe the process we undergo when we organize and interpret the sensations we experience. Perception gives us the ability to interpret the meaning from what our sensory receptors are experiencing.

The perceptual process begins when our sensory receptors (eyes, ears, tongue, nose, and skin) come in contact with sensory stimuli (sight, sounds, tastes, odors, and textiles), followed by the degree to which we pay attention to these stimuli and the meaning we draw from them (interpretation).

In addition, include an example of your own, that illustrates the same process.

Part 2

It is important to prepare when planning for the negotiation. As such, negotiators should use a summary preparation form when planning for negotiations.

Prepare a Preparation Worksheet for Negotiations that include the following:

Self-Assessment

• Assessment of the Other Party
• Situation Assessment

Your preparation checklist should include a list of items or questions under each of the above bullet points that should be answered when preparing for a negotiation.

• Your assignment should be supported by a minimum of two (2) scholarly sources.
• Create a chart with responding to the above items.
