Scenario
Isabella’s dad usually drops her off at preschool in the mornings before he goes to work. Her preschool teacher has noticed Isabella arriving late to preschool several days in a row. One morning when being dropped off, Isabella was visibly upset and didn’t want to leave her dad’s side. Isabella’s dad shared with her preschool teacher that he lost his job.
Justin is a four-year-old child who lives with his mom and has been attending the local preschool center intermittently for approximately three months. He has been released from a previous preschool center due to his negative behavior. Justin has a hard time following directions and often becomes angry and physical towards his teachers and classmates. His mom is overwhelmed; being a single parent she doesn’t know how to make Justin behave at preschool.
Aaliyah is the youngest of three children within a military family. Her mom is currently on a six-month deployment and won’t be back home for another two months. Aaliyah’s dad works long hours at the local car dealership, and her grandmother helps to take care of all three children when their dad is at work. Aaliyah struggles with attachment issues.
