This assignment has a completion grade. You may need to make additional changes when you work on the drafts of Chapters 1 and 3.You will receive additional feedback on Chapter 2 updates along Chapter 1 and 3 in a future assignment.

Overview: Prior to submitting your committee members to the portal, you will develop a draft proposal of your committee members for your chair to first approve. Upon approval by your chair, you will reach out to perspective committee members via email to gain approval.  After you have email confirmation from your committee members, you will submit your committee member narratives to the portal.  

Each dissertation committee should consist of: 

Chair (DSRT 930/931 Instructor) 

Committee Member 2 (Methodologist for Quantitative or Qualitative) 

If the chair is also considered the methodologist, one of the committee members can be a writing/APA support specialist. 

Committee Member 3 (Content Area Expert with academic credentials in your topic area) 

• If the chair is also considered the content area expert, one of the committee members can be a writing/APA support specialist.  
• You may review the Dissertation Committee Directory to help assemble this narrative.  

Directions: 

• You will submit the completed draft of this assignment submission box (this submission box allows for unlimited submissions). Your instructor will provide feedback on each of your submission(s).  

You will receive a grade of zero until your committee is approved by the instructor.  

• Upon approval by the instructor, you will reach out to respective committee members via their UC email address to confirm their acceptance.
