In this essay, reflect on the feasibility of reaching Target 3.8 (UHC) of Sustainable Development Goal #3, Good Health and Well Being by 2030.

Review the following, to help you answer this essay:

• Chotchoungchatchai, Somtanuek, et al (2020)[1] note “Of the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) adopted at the Seventieth session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in 2015,7 to be achieved by 2030,8 the third (SDG 3, to “ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”) is specific to health. SDG 3 includes the provision of universal health coverage (UHC; SDG target 3.8),” which is defined as:
  “ Achieve universal health coverage, including financial risk protection, access to quality essential health-care services, and access to safe, effective, quality and affordable essential medicines and vaccines for all.”  
  In brief, UHC aims to provide access to good-quality health services for all, without financial hardship.
• Medicines sans frontiers notes: “People who face the largest barriers in accessing care include those who cannot afford to pay for essential care, people facing a crisis situation, and people excluded or discriminated against because they’re migrants, refugees, or socially marginalized.”[2]

2. Using that paper and the above references, answer the following two questions.

   1. Is that country’s current national health policies likely to achieve the goal of UHC by 2030; why or why not? (300-350 words)
   2. What one new or revised policy would you suggest that country could adopt, to improve progress towards UHC by 2030? (300-350 words)
