Vulnerable populations
There are many! But think of populations who may not be able to speak for themselves. These populations can be especially challenging. For example: Children, Elderly, Disabled, Language barriers, Healthcare illiterate, Mental illness, Prisoners, Homeless. This is not a population health paper! Please consider specifically how your care will change as a bedside nurse. Think about the nursing process – what will you do differently for a client in this population? Don’t forget collaboration!
Use APA 7th edition. I am happy to help with this. Keep in mind that “cite this article” in a resource is often not APA and often not current. See the announcement posted 10/30 for APA tips. Feel free to send me your assignment (email) to check APA before the due date.
Use at least three references: Journals, Textbooks, Nursing or Medical Websites (ANA, CDC, etc.). Dated within the last 5 years. If you are not sure about a reference, please ask! No blogs or university websites.
