Guidelines for Course Paper (Written Assignment)
A paper on a macroeconomic topic is required for this course. The purpose of the paper is for you to demonstrate mastery of the concepts and material covered in ECO 204. Pick from one of the following topics for your paper:
The Great Recession of 2008 – Causes and Consequences
COVID-19 and the U.S. Economy – Short Run and Long Run Implications
Once you have selected a topic, be sure to conduct a thorough literature review on the subject. Your course paper must be at least 5 pages, double-spaced not counting the title page, charts, tables, or references. There is no upper page limit for your paper. Your paper must have five clearly defined sections:
Introduction and Objective: Make sure the objective is specific regarding the purpose of the paper. Clearly indicate what macroeconomic concepts are relevant for your topic and what you plan to achieve in the paper.
Literature Review: Conduct a search on the subject of your paper and summarize works of others similar to what you are writing on. Be sure to follow APA guidelines. The following web site has a good description of the APA style.
