Project Scope
The project covers a wide range of sustainability activities, from waste reduction, energy
efficiency improvements, water conservation measures, to the promotion of sustainable
transportation options. It is one of the intentions of our university to conserve the environment by
at the same time encouraging environmentally friendly behaviors among all populations in the
campus including students, faculty and staff.
3
Project Objective:
The Campus Sustainability Project coordinates and executes several school programs to deeply
minimize the environmental footprint of our university campus and empower and encourage our
students, teachers and employees to carry out eco-friendly behaviors.
Project Scope Description:
The scale of this huge project includes a lot of sustainability projects that affect different
operations and life on the campus. Such actions encompass waste minimization, energy saving
measures, water conservation and attention focused on public transport as an alternative mode.
As the three classes of the project, the strategy focused on all of these continents in order to
make an integrated approach to sustainability that apply to all the campus community.
Justification:
The main reason for the introduction of such a project is the university's sustainable policy and
its understanding that it is a simple and genuine messenger of the environment. Given the fact
that climate change and environmental degradation keep increasingly being the topic of
discussions, it is a necessity for the institutions like ours to undertake preventive measures that
will ensure the decrease of the adverse environmental footprint and the promotion of responsible
practices of the environment. Through sustainable efforts the college not only assumes its ethical
duties but also guiding other institutions as well altogether the whole community eagerly strives
towards a sustainable world.
Deliverables:
The final products of the Campus Sustainability Project are
4
-Start the implementation phase of waste reduction programs, including well-organized recycling
efforts and the creation of composting facilities to lower the quantity of organic waste
accordingly.
-Implementation of efficient lighting systems would be one of the major measures to reduce
electricity consumption among university buildings and as a result of energy efficiency.
-Execution of the water-savings procedures, such as the installation of low-flow fixtures and
smart irrigation systems, to optimize the water usage and conserve this valuable resource.
-Support for sustainable transportation facilities, such as establishment of bike lanes, start of
carpooling programs and provision of incentives for using public transport among students and
the institution staff, consequently regard covering carbon emissions and solving the traffic
congestion in the campus.

Technical Requirements
-Employ the appliances and equipment that cost less energy.
-Adopting water-saving taps and sprinklers as well as other irrigation systems is one of the ways
of solving the shortage of water. It implies that an individual can save water significantly.
-Implementation of waste separation and recycling programs is another civil society’s effective
strategy to mitigate massive waste production.
-Encouragement of using public transport, biking, and carpooling as alternative to car.
Limits and Excursions
-Insufficient budget may limit the scale of certain programs which has to be considered carefully
before implementation.
-Weather conditions and the environmental factors are not in our control, and this may thus make
our project timelines to be affected.
-The sustainability measures may sometimes need the approval of regulatory bodies.
Acceptance Criteria
-Our plan is to reduce the waste generation by 20% in one calendar year.
-The production of energy by 15% will be reduced from energy efficiency upgrades.
-Reduce the water usage by 25% through the conservation measures.
