Week 8 | Ch 18 (Working as Agents for Change) Reading Notes

While reading each assigned chapter in the textbook, you are to take notes as you read and upload them to Canvas for credit. The Weekly Objectives and Discussion Board prompts for each chapter can help guide your focus on what to take notes on, but you do not have to follow them to earn credit.

Important: For this last week, you will have a reading discussion board that answers the following questions so please keep this information in mind as you read:

Based on your reading, what are some effective strategies to motivate change concerning global sustainability issues on either the individual or community level?

Choose 1-2 sentences from the text that stood out to you. This could be something you found interesting, inspiring, worrisome, or anything else that caught your eye. Include the quote here and discuss why you found this quote to be interesting.

The format of your notes is up to you, but you must write your own notes. You can occasionally incorporate some direct sentences into your notes, but the majority of the work should be in your own words. You should have at least one page of typed or two pages of handwritten notes per chapter. Notes should be single-spaced (or the equivalent) with reasonably sized print or font. Notes should be organized and span the entire chapter, not just until you hit the page minimum requirements. This means you should incorporate ideas from the beginning, middle, and end of each chapter.
