5. This week, you read the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case of Brown v. Board of Education. It pertained to many different cases. Linda Brown was just 1 of the plaintiffs. How many cases, in total, including Linda Brown’s, were involved in the main case that was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court in Brown v. Board of Education on May 17, 1954? Indicate from what states those cases originated? You will find the answer in the case which is posted in the Reading folder in Module 12. (4 points)
6. For this question, consider the case of Brown v. Board of Education, how it affected lives, and the impact it had on history. Do a bit of research and find evidence of the impact of the historic decision. It could be the story of a child affected by the decision, insight from a teacher who taught in a school that was impacted by the decision, violence that occurred as a result, the aftermath of this decision on Linda Brown, and whatever you can find that is interesting. A lot of what we read and learn in this class will be your “ordinary” legal information. However, this case was not just a case. It really changed the United States. In some areas of the United States, things did not change as fast as others. Explain what you found during your research, how it relates to Brown. and what impact it had on individuals and/or the U.S. Do not write about the “Little Rock 9,” or anything else covered in the lecture notes, module resources, or this chapter of the text. Since you will be using a resource that is not in the course, cite your source in your answer, and cite your source as a reference at the end of the assignment. (6 points)
