Louisiana Assistive Technology Access Network (LATAN) is the federal Assistive Technology ACT program for Louisiana.

WORKING THROUGHOUT ALL OF LOUISIANA, LATAN ASSISTS RESIDENTS OF ALL AGES WITH DISABILITIES OR FUNCTIONAL LIMITATIONS IN GAINING INDEPENDENCE AT HOME, AT WORK, AND AT SCHOOL THROUGH THE USE OF ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY.

Assistive Technology (AT) is best described as any device, tool, software, or application used to increase, maintain, or improve the quality of life of a person living with a disability or functional limitation.
