The traditional art medium I chose is watercolor. This traditional art medium is very well known and has been used for a very long time. Watercolor is a delicate and particular work done by an artist. Very little color needs to be used when going from choosing what color you use to dipping the brush into water to changing the tint it will be on the paper. The smaller amount of color and the bigger amount of water you use will determine a lighter shade of color. The bigger amount of color and less amount of water use will determine a darker and more bold shade of color.
For the experimental art medium, I chose tattoos. This form of art can be seen as experimental because it is not used by everyone. There are so many different ways an artist can tattoo. From the size of the needle, the color they use, and the piece of art their client chooses, can all determine how the piece of art will turn out. Another way of tattooing is called stick and poke. I myself have seven tattoos. All pretty similar in style but the artist I see can do a variety of styles for whatever their client may want. One style I have seen him use is tattoo-like watercolor. I have not seen many other tattoo artists use this style, at least not in the area I live in. Seeing the work he can tattoo like watercolor is mesmerizing and beautiful. Seeing this style done by him has made me want to get a tattoo done this way.
Part 2- Harmony and Variety
In Module 02, you chose one piece of artwork from the Course Project Gallery. You observed the piece, sketched it out, took inventory of what you saw in the piece, and asked questions about it.
Now, you are going to analyze the artwork even further by:

Review the design principles of harmony and variety from lessons within the course and describe how harmony and variety are used in your chosen artwork.
Use the key terms to describe the piece such as: contour line, value, warm colors, cool colors, shape, repetition, pattern, motif, texture, rhythm, composition, unity, primary color, geometric shape, organic shape, dominance, balance, focal point.
