Writing Question
Research Question: What are the long-term effects of fluoride exposure through dental products on oral health? The Long-Term Effects of Fluoride on Teeth Fluoride is a mineral that helps keep teeth strong and prevents cavities. It’s in toothpaste, mouthwash, and treatments from dentists. While we know it’s good for teeth in the short term, some people worry about what happens if you have it for a long time. This essay will look at what research says about what fluoride does to teeth over many years. First Why Fluoride Is Good, Fluoride is like a shield for teeth. It makes them tough so they don’t get holes in them as easily. When cities put fluoride in their water, it helps everyone’s teeth, especially kids. Dentists also use fluoride treatments to give extra protection to teeth, especially for people who might get cavities more easily. Second,Worries About Using Fluoride for a Long Time,Some people are worried that having fluoride all the time might not be good. They think it might make teeth look funny or cause problems in bones and joints. Sometimes, teeth can get spots or lines on them if there’s too much fluoride when they’re growing. But usually, it’s not a big deal. Still, it’s something to think about. Third, What Studies Say, Scientists have looked at this question a lot. Some studies say having too much fluoride can make teeth look weird. But others say it’s not a big deal. They also look at other things like what people eat and where they live, because that can affect teeth too. It’s hard to know for sure what’s causing what. Fourth, What Dentists Should Do ,dentists need to be careful about how much fluoride they give to people. They should think about how old someone is, if they’ve had fluoride before, and if they might get too much from other places like water or food. Dentists should also talk to people about how to use fluoride at home, like how much toothpaste to use. In conclusion Fluoride is good for teeth, but we need to be careful about how much we use, especially over a long time. Some people worry it might make teeth look funny or cause other problems, but we’re not sure yet. Dentists need to be smart about how they use fluoride and talk to people about how to use it at home. “Systematic Review of Long-Term Effects of Fluoride Exposure on Oral Health” Authors: Smith, Sarah R. “Impact of Fluoride Toothpaste on Oral Health Outcomes: A Longitudinal Cohort Study” Authors: Johnson, Michael A “Assessment of Fluoride Exposure from Dental Products and Its Relationship with Oral Health Conditions: A Population-Based Study” “Longitudinal Study of Fluoride Exposure and Dental Health Outcomes in Children: Implications for Public Health Policies” “Fluoride Levels in Drinking Water and Their Impact on Oral Health: A Cross-Sectional Study” ————————————————————————————– Direction So I have write this essay using these sources in the top of this page I just want you to add up to it to make it reach the 6 pages and please use easy simple English words After carefully and thoughtfully composing your Final Project Essay and thoroughly editing it, submit the essay here. To participate in the peer review process for class time, the essay needs to be at least 90% complete (more than 4 1/2 pages in the correct format) and you must be present when class begins so that an accurate assignment list for peer review can be created. Anyone without an essay ready for peer review at the beginning of class will not be able to participate in (and earn points for) the peer review in-class activity. Each person will be assigned two peer reviews, which will also be done through this drop box. Peer review will have two parts: – in-text feedback – the essay rubric In-text feedback: Add comments throughout the author’s essay (at least 3-4 comments per page are expected), noting what you like or think is well done as well as areas that could be improved. If you see word choice that is unclear, make a note that says “unclear” or “reword” (do not make any specific word choice suggestions). Focus on how clearly you understand what you’re reading, whether there is not enough or too much information, and if things are clearly organized. If you want to note any needed improvements for punctuation or grammar, do not note what kind of punctuation; instead, only note “punctuation” or “grammar.” Remember, the goal is to tell the author what can be improved, not how to do it. Also, when you see something you like, such as good description or a passage that is well-written, note that, too. Remember that what we’re doing here is not editing; what we’re doing is giving each other guidance for improvement and encouragement. At the end of the essay, leave a paragraph of overall comments, telling them what you liked and what you think could make the essay even better.
