Students may use the same person they interviewed for the first paper or interview another individual.

Identify a life event that occurred during the individual’s life course and the developmental stage when it occurred. Discuss the significance of the life event having occurred during that particular developmental stage. Describe the biological, psychological, and spiritual implications and consequences of the life event, either at the time and/or later in the life course. If the event involved trauma, then note that and describe the implications. Include at least one reference to a relevant source that is not on the syllabus for this course, properly integrated and cited according to APA format rules. (Expected length 2 pages) 6 pts.

Discuss the impact of the larger social environment and the historical time on the individual’s life course. What factors are significant, and how did they impact this individual? Include at least one reference to a relevant source that is not on the syllabus for this course, properly integrated and cited according to APA format rules. (Expected length 2 pages) 6 pts.

Referring back to your answer to item #1, describe how your own positionality in terms of age, gender, sexual orientation identity, race, cultural/ethnic background, religion, socioeconomic status, etc. is similar to or differs from that of your subject. Reflect on how similarities and differences in positionality may have contributed to similarities and differences in your life experiences. Also describe here any preconceived notions, judgments, and opinions that came up for you in this assignment and your process of compartmentalizing those. (Expected length 2 pages) 4 pts.

Consult the literature regarding the individual’s race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, any issues the individual may have had to face, etc. All articles cited for this assignment MUST be from peer-reviewed professional journals) in your discussion. A minimum of four (4) references from peer-reviewed journal articles are required. In addition, you may use government websites for data/statistics. 2 pts.
