This HW uses Microsoft’s SQL Server engine. So make sure you use it in the one that is going to work for that specific server engine.

This class introduces a second relational database, Microsoft’s Sql Server. It is in the top three for most utilized databases in the world. The purpose of including a second relational database is to provide additional experience, put another software tool in your resume, and to demonstrate how little difference there is in using sql. There are not many differences between Oracle and SQL Server. But there are a few. Data types differ; in fact, there is only one data type that is exactly the same (CHAR). But there are lots of similiarities.

This does require SQL Server Management Studio, . The GUI is similar to Oracle’s SQL Developer. The PowerPoint slides provide detailed information.
