PS530-1: Discuss the major historical, theoretical, and empirical perspectives in cognitive psychology.

For this assignment, you will write an expository paper discussing the major historical perspectives of cognitive psychology and how advancements in technology have led to a greater understanding of brain processes involved in cognition.

Include the following in your paper:

? Explain the key features of each perspective.

? Describe the contributions to cognitive psychology of the following historical movements and developments:

? Linguistics

? Discuss contributions from the field of neuroscience to the understanding of cognitive psychology by addressing how at least two of the following have increased the understanding of the role of the brain in cognition:
