For this assignment, you will need to choose your topic (the topic is Care and Community) related to a current issue in Communication and Media Theory and produce an annotated bibliography of 5 sources, 3 of which need to be scholarly (peer-reviewed). The other 2 need not be peer-reviewed but should be reputable sources that speak to the importance of your topic (think news, magazine articles, podcasts etc.). Each source should be listed in APA format and include a short (~150 word) description and evaluation of the source. Your write-ups should:
-explain what the article is about/what the argument is
-evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the source
-explain why it is relevant to your topic
The annotated bibliography is meant to help you prepare for your final paper. Though you are welcome to change topics, I recommend you use this assignment to get started on the final one. Please note you are not expected to have developed a thesis at this point. You should, however, have a good understanding of your topic and what the scholarly and larger socio-political aspects of it are.
