The assignment instructions are below. The topic’s argument to be written about must very clear and concise in order to help us write the final essay. The topic I chose is Care and Community. Please make sure all work is original and unique (no plagiarism or AI). I’m attaching some readings to help you in choosing the argument. For this assignment, you will need to choose your topic (the topic is Care and Community) related to a current issue in Communication and Media Theory and produce an annotated bibliography of 5 sources, 3 of which need to be scholarly (peer-reviewed). The other 2 need not be peer-reviewed but should be reputable sources that speak to the importance of your topic (think news, magazine articles, podcasts etc.). Each source should be listed in APA format and include a short (~150 word) description and evaluation of the source. Your write-ups should:

-explain what the article is about/what the argument is

-evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the source

-explain why it is relevant to your topic

The annotated bibliography is meant to help you prepare for your final paper. Though you are welcome to change topics, I recommend you use this assignment to get started on the final one. Please note you are not expected to have developed a thesis at this point. You should, however, have a good understanding of your topic and what the scholarly and larger socio-political aspects of it are.
