1 ERP and employees’ performance / workload Journal paper review Project Purpose : team need to search journal papers about ERP and employees’ performance / workload. Then review the papers and generate high quality written report on the results of the research. Step 1: Search academic papers of the selected topic either from Google Scholar (scholar.google.com) • • • The first step is to search specific academic papers using Google Scholar . Some papers are downloadable, but some are not. So a group needs to search papers whose full text is available. A group is required to review at least 10 articles Step 2: Critically review the selected articles • • Critically read the selected articles. o Find a central theme or idea of each article. o Focus on important arguments of each article. o Look at evidences that support the arguments. o Try to find important assumption that link between arguments and evidences. Drawing on your review, also provide your own critiques and suggestions. o Check if supportive evidences are correct of not. 2 o Check if the assumptions are reasonable or logical. o You can criticize by attacking incorrect supportive evidences or tackling illogical assumptions. o Read limitations of each paper and suggest how to release them. Step 3: Complete project progress report • Step 4 is to complete progress report. The report needs to convey following agendas: 1. Introduction: describe and explain a specific topic for review and then provide reason to select the topic. 2. Relations to chapter (if applicable): Provide how your review is connected to a chapter 3. Progress date/milestone of your project: Provide specific date of project schedule. 4. Challenges: Provide challenges or problems in performing your project. 5. Related articles: Provide the list of articles (part or all) you search with their citation and journal impact factor information. Step 4: Complete final report • After review articles, complete your final report following the format: a. b. c. d. e. f. g. The Cover Page Executive Summary and/or Acknowledgement Table of Contents Introduction Justification (about 1 page). Why did you select the topic, and what is unique about it? Literature Review (2 pages) Methodology (1 page) • Analysis of articles in view of the chosen topics and how they contribute towards the chosen topic (at least 10 pages). h. Findings, Recommendations, Limitation, Conclusion and Remarks (2-3 pages) i. References. References to be cited properly using APA reference taxonomy. j. Power Point Presentation.
