Obituary Myrie Cobb Friar was born to the union of the late Rufus Ray Cobb Senior and Delcina Jones Cobb on October 2, 1938 in Augusta Arkansas Myrie accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Saint Luke Baptist Church in Augusta, Arkansas a few years after graduating high school Myrie was married to Eugene Friar and they had 4 children later in 1961 moved to California to start a new life She was blessed with two more children in California Myrie started working at 10 years old. She started to press and curl hair. In the kitchen of her mom‘s house use the stove to heat the pressing comb and the Marcella curling irons She became the best beautician in town. Later on Myrie was employed by American building maintenance for 10 years and later on move to work as a Chauffeur at Northrop for 15 years Myrie love family There’s nothing she would not do for her family. Some time She would press Hair in her kitchen for everyone who had hair . So we all look good for church on Sunday. She was a members of Main Gospel church in Los Angeles.Myrie’s kids made the choir the usher in numerous other activities in the church along with her twin sisters, seven kids she were the volunteers when there was a concert at church. Myrie would put all six of her kids and most of her sister’s kids in the car and we would go to church different churches to sing Mom Love family so much at any chosen time you could come to our house and there would be her six kids and and maybe a host of her nieces and nephews of were all be Myrie‘s house we slept all over the place, but we were so happy to be there in her presence Myrie became a single parent with six kids, in the early 1970’s three girls and three boys and she would always buy properties with large yards because she love to keep all of those teenagers happy and entertained oun property mom loved the beach at any chosen time you could find my mom and any number of us at the beach, she bought a motorhome and she loved to spend the nights and weekends on the beach and everyone was welcome to go with us Mom was proceeded in death by her parents Rufus Ray Cobb Senior and Delcina Cobb three brothers Rufus Cobb Junior Isiam Ray Cobb and Joe Cobb three sisters Catherine and Lucinda Cobb and her twin sister Marare Cobb Neal her son William Rufus Friar and her husband Eugene Friar Myrie to cherish her memories five children Roseann Montaque of Texas Minta Dell Potillor of Walnut California John Friar Orange County California Jacqueline Delisa Friar La Puente California and Isiam Ray Friar Hollywood Sent from my iPhone
