GROUP RESEARCH PROJECT – 3 STUDENTS Per Group Worth 20% of the final grade. Your group should identify your topic and submit it to me for approval and suggestions by September 14th.
Research Project Format
1. Title page
2. Double spaced
3. 12-point font
4. Times New Roman
5. Cite your sources and quotes
6. Check your spelling, grammar and sentence structure
7. Each section of the research paper should be a minimum of 3 pages (not including the title page) (i’ve included what each section needs to be on in the attached rubric)
8. Submit in Microsoft Word program only
9. Papers are to be submitted at the beginning of class
10. Points will be deducted for errors in composition, grammar, clarity and spelling, grammar, typing.
11. ASA style

13. If there is need submit your essay, submit as a Word document only. Do not send in Google Drive or any other format.
Your paper will be evaluated on the basis of clarity, accuracy, explicitness in the organization, documentation for arguments, correctness in spelling, grammar, and structure.
RESEARCH PROJECT FORMAT
1. INTRODUCTION — Subject Page with the title of the topic, the name of each student in the research group
2. ISSUES DISCUSSED — Subject Page with the title of the topic and student’s name (ie. How Policies Expanded Inequality by Joseph Wilson)
3. SOCIAL IMPACT and CONCLUSION — Subject Page with the title of the topic and the student’s name (ie. What is the Social Impact on ??? by Katrice Thomas)
In this section you can also discuss the intersectionality of issues such as gender and race, bias and gender stereotyping, etc.
4. Theories Used – In the issues used and social impact sections, you must discuss the sociological theories pertaining to your subject. For example, if it’s a stratification, race, economic, etc. displayed in your topic. Failure to do so will result in up to 15 points being deducted from this assignment.
5. Bibliography (cumulative of resources used by all students)
6. Each student will receive a separate grade for their section. One student per section
7. Submit as one combined research paper
