Group Assignment (20%) BUSE 601 Management and OB Assignment: Group Presentation on Key Management Concepts (20% of total grade) Objective: Each group member is tasked with exploring and presenting four pivotal concepts from the assigned book. These concepts should offer valuable insights for managers, business owners, and project managers, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of business or project initiatives. Presentation Details: Concept Analysis and Presentation: Each student will present four concepts, with the following structure for each: 1. Elaboration of the Concept: Detailed explanation of the concept’s significance, application, and potential impact. 2. Narrative or Case Study: A story or case study illustrating the concept in action, utilizing real‐world experiences or hypothetical scenarios. 3. Key Takeaways: The main messages or lessons intended for the audience, emphasizing actionable insights. Slide Requirements: Prepare 1‐3 slides to elucidate the concept and 1‐2 slides summarizing the key takeaways. Recommended Timing: Allocate approximately 2‐3 minutes per concept. This includes presenting the concept, the narrative or case study, and the key takeaways, ensuring a comprehensive yet focused discussion. Detailed Rubric (20 Marks Total, 5 Marks per Concept): For each concept (1‐4), the following criteria will be assessed: 1. Understanding and Relevance (2 marks): Depth of understanding of the concept (1 mark) Relevance and practical applicability to management (1 mark) 2. Analysis and Illustration (2 marks): Quality of analytical depth and clarity in concept explanation (1 mark) Effectiveness and creativity of the narrative or case study (1 mark) 3. Presentation and Impact (1 mark): Clarity, engagement, and delivery of presentation, including the strength of key takeaways (1 mark) Timing Recommendations: Aim to spend about 2‐3 minutes on each concept, ensuring a balanced and thorough exploration that maintains audience engagement.
