Sample essay paragraphs:
The concert I observed was Rauw Alejandro’s “Saturno” album tour in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas on April 4, 2023. I chose this concert because I am a huge fan and
I know that he uses crazy props and is known for doing very attractive dance moves. I have some experience observing concerts like this, as I am an avid listener of all types of
music. I studied percussion in high school and performed live at the end of each semester. My initial assumption was that overall presentation would be extraordinary.
The first song Lejos Del Cielo (Far From the Sky) features immaculate visuals. Starting at 0:29 Rauw appears in a cloud of smoke. His dancers dance around him
until about 0:48 when the beginning reggaeton beats are heard. He is then lifted into the air, as if he was in the sky. This song is about losing someone you love or ghosting
someone who is bad for you. The opening line is heard: “¿Dónde? ¿Dónde estás? Llevo rato llamando, contesta” (Where, where are you? I have been calling, answer). When he
receives no answer, it sends him into a spiral and flying into the air: “Me tienes en ?l aire volando” (You’ve got me in the air flying). As he sings those lyrics at 1:19, he gets lifted
