Sports Management Question

1. You will select one professional sports team or organization and envision working for that team/organization in the sponsorship sales
department seeking a corporate sponsor for your property.
2.. You will solicit one corporation of your choice and draft a sponsorship pitch letter to the person that, you research, is responsible for such decisions. Give a brief description of your property. Include audience information/attendance figures as well as a timeframe.
3. Why would said corporation be a good match for your property? Similar values? Research sponsor needs and share how your property can help your sponsor achieve their goal(s). What you find in your research will be key to getting a favorable response from the decision-maker.
4. Do you have a specific sponsorship package in mind? If so, would it be naming rights for a building, founding partner status of a new building, a specific component of the team (say a Kids Club, a practice facility, a jersey sponsor) and share why the particular company you are soliciting would make a good sponsor for that particular sponsorship asset/benefit. Call out the specific sponsorship package in the letter and share
some of the benefits. Share any special creative implementation that you feel would resonate with the sponsor.
5. End the letter with a call to action. Popular calls to action include: inviting prospect to an upcoming game/event as opposed to an outright meeting. Be specific in your call to action.
