Project Proposal:

To earn academic credit for your internship, you must complete a task or project within the organization that will enhance your coursework within the W. P. Carey School of Business. The project proposal paper will outline what this project or task will be, what you will learn from it, how you will complete the it, and that your supervisor agrees to this work.

This is a significant portion of your grade (15%), and the expectation is that this proposal will be at least three pages and include the following sections:

Company Description (15)

Describe the organization you are working in, why you choose them, and your role within the company.

Learning Goals (60)

Write three to four learning goals that you hope to achieve through this project and outline the activities, tasks, and projects that will help you achieve that goal. I recommend that you review the NACE career readiness standards when creating your learning goals.

Note: at least one of the goals must be a business discipline-related (accounting, economics, computer information systems, management, marketing, supply chain management). Example – Prepare market analysis reports, Prepare financial analysis, Prepare training reports.

Challenges and Roadblocks (15)

Identify at least three challenges and roadblocks that may impede your progress this semester and identify at least two solutions to each challenge.

Format (20)

The document is well formatted and well organized. The document is professionally formatted while showcasing the brand (company colors / fonts / etc). Note: this document should not read like an essay. It should include headers to allow the reader to find key information, and utilize bullets / tables / figures to highlight key information.
