As our book mentioned, divorce is just as old as marriage. An example of how cultural views have influenced divorce is on page 364: “Most American Indian cultures permitted divorce, and it was more common for them than it was among the European settlers who encountered them (Queen 1985).” It is also believed that rises in divorce rates went along with the time of different feminist movements where women were standing up for themselves and wanting to be equal. Being equal also meant filing for divorce if they so chose. Statistics show that in most divorced homes with children, the children live with their mother and the father pays child support. The Catholic Church has played a major part in keeping people together, it just wasn’t permitted. People could get separated but couldn’t remarry unless they were allowed an annulment! Sounds a bit like cremation in my field of business, it too was frowned upon by devout Catholics but has now become more acceptable.
I found it very interesting that couples who go to college are less likely getting divorced. This wasn’t something I had thought about before necessarily, but makes sense. The couple understands hard work, they know what they want out of the rest of their life and aren’t just flying by the seat of their pants. The video clip gave me hope honestly. It mentioned that after the 10 year mark the odds of staying together are greater! Here’s to making it past 10!
More now than ever Fathers are seeking custody of their children which in the end is a good thing. It seems to correlate to a time where they are also making more money. Are they wanting to obtain custody selfishly so they don’t have to pay child support, knowing that it will be a substantial amount because of the money they make; or are they really wanting to be the primary parent?………………………………………..

Answer: Social perspectives assume a critical part in molding separation and remarriage patterns, frequently affecting sexes distinctively because of cultural standards and assumptions. In many societies, ladies face more prominent disgrace or financial difficulty following separation, which can impact their choice to stay in miserable relationships or to remarry all the more mindfully. Then again, men might confront less friendly disgrace and might be bound to remarry sooner after separate. For instance, in conventional social orders where orientation jobs are unbendingly characterized, ladies might be supposed to focus on family steadiness over private joy, driving them to endure miserable relationships as opposed to gamble with social judgment or monetary difficulty. This is reflected in a statement from the anthropologist Margaret Mead: ” In the South Oceans, there is a faction of female virginity which has prompted an exceptionally evolved innovation of hymen recreation. . . . No such faction exists for guys; any young fellow who didn’t have his early issues would be viewed as independently dreary. . . . This is one of only a handful of exceptional models in the realm of a totally unbalanced example of sexual assumption in various genders.” This statement features the inconsistent assumptions put on people in regards to sexual way of behaving and marriage, which can impact separation and remarriage designs. On the other hand, in additional moderate or libertarian societies, all kinds of people might feel more liberated to seek after separation and remarriage assuming their relationships are unsuitable. This can prompt more adjusted separation and remarriage rates between sexes. In general, social perspectives profoundly impact separation and remarriage patterns by molding cultural assumptions, marks of disgrace, and financial open doors for people.
Examine: I was unable to access the link. However, one perception about understanding separation measurements and patterns by bunch is the significance of thinking about multifacetedness. This implies perceiving that people have a place with numerous gatherings all the while (e.g., race, nationality, orientation, financial status) and that these meeting characters can impact their encounters of separation. For example, separate from rates might differ essentially among racial and ethnic gatherings because of social standards, financial variables, and authentic settings. Subsequently, basically seeing in general separation rates disregarding these meeting elements can darken significant subtleties and variations. By inspecting divorce measurements through a multifaceted focal point, specialists and policymakers can acquire a more complete comprehension of the variables driving separation patterns inside various segment gatherings. This takes into account more designated mediations and emotionally supportive networks to address the special requirements and difficulties looked by different populaces exploring divorce.
Ask: How do historical legacies, socioeconomic disparities, and cultural factors influence the patterns and trends of divorce rates within African American families, and what implications might this have for future family structures and well-being?
