#1 RESPOND TO BRITTANY’S INITIAL POST To: Hospital CEO From: Brittany, Strategic Planner Subject: WV Health fair It is with great honor that I will be organizing a health fair for the residents of West Viginia. Thomas Memorial Hospital is a non-for-profit health care facility. They have a population of 625 with 100% being white in race (Census Reporter, n.d.). Our goal is to provide health services to these residents and increase health awareness. Many healthcare professionals would be needed to provide services to the community. Finding and Securing vendors for needs and support with teaching about basic vitals and screenings. Also provide information about behavioral health, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, nutrition, endocrinolo gy and more. Volunteers are also needed. There are many funding sources that most nonprofit organizations use. These would be a great resource to helping fund Thomas Memorial Hospital: 1. 2. 3. 4. Government agencies such as federal, state, and local. Local health businesses Donations Grants Focusing on resources and services that help the community improve their health is one of the main reasons for this health fair. Also to bring awareness to the community on how they can continue to help care for their health issues. Such as, Diabetes, mental health, building a healthier lifestyle and heart disease. Defining a promotional mix by promoting the health fair through social media posts/ads, announcements at work meetings and having them spread the word to family and friends, make flyers and place them in popular areas around the hospital. It would be a great idea to start promoting the health fair at least four weeks prior to the date. Some other necessary components: 1. 2. 3. 4. Staying on top of budgeting while trying to achieve every goal for the health fair. Let other resources around the neighborhood know such as, schools, churches and other health facilities so maybe they can volunteer. Provide free screenings, Other giveaways such as free gym memberships for a year or discounte d prices. You can also do free giveaways for workout equipment.
