“Title: Investigating the effect of Algorithmic Content Curation on Political Discourse in Social

Media

The main goal of this study is to look into how automated content curation affects political

conversations on social media sites. “How do algorithms shape and influence political

discussions on social media?” is the main question that this study is trying to answer. In the past

few years, social media has become an important place to talk about politics. As algorithmic

content curation becomes more common, platforms use complicated algorithms to customize

content based on what users want. This brings up important questions about the nature and

quality of political talks. The point of this study is to figure out how algorithms affect political

narratives, with a focus on how they might affect the variety of information, polarization, and the

health of democratic speech as a whole. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach that includes both

quantitative and qualitative analysis of content distribution trends and user interactions, this

study aims to provide a complete picture of how algorithms affect the political discourse

landscape. The results will add important new information to the debates about how technology

affects democracy. They will also help with future plans for social media algorithmic control and
