Design a basic experiment that would use reaction time (RT) as the DV and would require a within-subjects t-test to analyze. Briefly describe your experimental design and tell us your hypothesis, rationale behind the hypothesis (i.e., what prior research led you to this hypothesis, see below), and your IV and its levels. Describe what a hypothetical significant result would mean for this experiment.

Find a peer-reviewed research article that uses RT as a dependent variable to back up your rationale for your hypothesis above. Tell us the study’s hypothesis, the rationale behind the hypothesis, the DVs, IVs, and what they found.

In your discussion, include the following:
