MIS478: Crashing Exercise
Project Management Individual Assignment: Crashing Exercise Learning Objectives At the end of this assignment, you should be able to: • Correctly crash a project schedule using information about the crashing budget and the cost of crashing for each activity; and • Discuss when the project can no longer be crashed and explain why. Due Date Please submit this assignment by Sunday, April 14th at 11:59 PM (AZ time). Assignment Overview This assignment is a replication of the exercise that the video lecture will cover. You should be able to do this on your own, but if you prefer, you are allowed to work with classmates. As usual, if you work together, the names of those who worked together should be listed on the submission. Each student, however, should submit his or her answers individually. If you work in teams, you must be able to do crashing on your own after this exercise. The figures and tables on the next page show the schedule of a project, the normal cost and duration of each activity, and also the cost of crashing for each activity. Now, if the total available budget for crashing is $300, which activities can be crashed and by how much? What is the total duration of the project at that time?
