Step 2: Writing Support
- For this assignment, you will conduct an analysis of an instructional lesson plan. The following is a tutorial from the UAGC Writing Center that provides additional guidance on what is an analysis.

Use the following Week 5: Three Principles Organizer to complete the first part of your assignment on the following requirements:
Select one of the lessons from Explore Model UDL Lesson Plans
Using the following Week 5: Three Principles Organizer, identify how the three principles are evident in your selected lesson plan.
- Select the “UDL Connections” buttons located at various points in the lesson to determine how UDL principles are integrated and briefly write these down in your Three Principles Organizer.
- You will submit your organizer as a separate document in Waypoint.
Use the following Week 5: UDL/CAST Instructional Plan Analysis template to complete your assignment on the following requirements:
- Lesson Description:
Include the title of the model lesson, the subject, and grade levels, and a one-paragraph introduction of the lesson you selected in your own words from the Explore Model UDL Lesson Plans page.
- Principle 1: Multiple Means of Representation (two to three paragraphs).
Explain the principle of Multiple Means of Representation in your own words (paraphrase).
Describe ways that Multiple Means of Representation are included in the model lesson. When providing examples from the lesson, be sure to describe how it reflects multiple means of representation. Make reference to the readings.
PRINCIPLE 2: MULTIPLE MEANS OF ACTION AND EXPRESSION (TWO TO THREE PARAGRAPHS).
Explain the principle of Multiple Means of Action and Expression in your own words (paraphrase).
Describe how Multiple Means of Action and Expression are included in the model lesson. When providing examples from the lesson, be sure to describe how it reflects multiple means of action and expression. Make reference to the readings
