Anatomy of a Mystery
PART I: Complete your required discussion prompt:
In this week’s episode of “Anatomy of a Mystery” Carmen analyzed Mari’s cuts and lesions to determine a plan of care. Give a summary of the episode that relates to the questions below. Discuss the following:
Why is a lesion like Mari’s, which reached down to the subcutaneous tissue, associated with running bleeding?
Why does a lesion limited to the epidermis not bleed, and a lesion to the dermis will ooze?
Why do epidermal lesions not leave scar tissue while dermal and hypodermal lesions can leave scars behind? Is it possible that Mari’s injuries will leave scars?
- PART II: In-Class Assignment Submission:
- During our class, you were assigned content to research, interpret, and summarize. In addition to sharing this with your peers in class, please attach your assignment content as well as a 6-10 sentence summary/reflection of the content you presented to your discussion submission.
- REMINDERS:
All content must be cited in-text and referenced at the bottom of the submission. The weekly ANATOMY of a MYSTERY episode must be cited and referenced in your discussion prompt response. Format and organization are required.
You are not required to respond to peers; however, it is encouraged!
Your grade will be based on Part I, and Part II as well as proper APA citations. If you are not able to attend class, then you will not submit Part II as it requires in-class participation.
A generic citation for the Anatomy of Mystery videos used in Anatomy courses should look like this:

As an example, the Week 1 Anatomy video “Curious Cuts” would be cited on your References page as:
