Technology Research Report
Students will research a technology topic related to the sports industry to include but not limited to;competitive sports, professional sports, recreation, sports administration and business, personal health and wellness, sport related entertainment, as examples. There is flexibility in the way that you can choose to complete and present your project. You will need to use and identify at least 3-5 sources for your information.You may use the internet for some of your sources, but not all. You should attempt to use a source that includes interacting or communicating with someone who uses the technology in their profession, or speak to a sales representative for a product. Other acceptable sources: spend time observing the use of the technology in a professional setting, give a personal account of your experience using a product, professional journal research articles and other promotional information
Report must have a title and date included. All group members will need to submit the written report to BB. All members of the group are required to contribute to the written report.All written reports must be typed and double-spaced using 12 pt. font, with one-inch margins on MS Word or google doc. Do not use ‘pages’ when submitting to BB. The written portion should be a minimum of 3 pages, maximum of 5 pages. Grammar, spelling, word usage, and proper writing mechanics are required.The following list can used as a guide to the information that should be include in the report.? Name of the technology product.? When was the product first developed?? Where was the product developed and used first?? How long was the product in development before being used?? What are the various stages of the product use in the field?? How has this technology impacted the industry?? Is there resistance to accepting the technology?? Why is this product useful?? Does the product create an improved experience or outcome? For athletes, coaches, fans, refs,investors, or other participants?? Does the product diminish traditional experiences or expectations?? What is the cost? Has the cost changed since it was first introduced?? What does the future look like for this product?? Is this product used in a specific area or field? Can its use expand to other areas?? Does increased use of this product change the work force expectations?? Are there security concerns with using this product?? Are there other manufacturers or competitors for this product?? What improvements or upgrades can or will be made with future developments?? What is the future outlook for this product?? Any additional relevant or interesting information?
