The assignment at hand is a creative group writing project that focuses on a development goal. The task may be chosen from a range of options, including autonomy, identity, intimacy, sexuality, and accomplishment.

Groups will select and review scientific research (referencing, in total, at least 5 peer-reviewed, empirical articles) focused on one developmental task of adolescence (for example, establishing a healthy sense of independence [autonomy], discovering who they are as individuals [identity], or becoming successful and competent members of society [achievement]).
On the basis of the material that is delivered in the course and the literature research that is completed, groups will work together to build a plan that will enhance the development of positive youth by providing assistance to teenagers in achieving their goals,
4 negotiate the developmental task that has been selected. It will be beneficial to “assume the role of a youth development professional” for the purpose of this project. Use your imagination to determine what kind of program would be most successful in engaging teens. Is there a method to incorporate technology into the service that is being provided? Are you addressing concerns about diversity in the program that you run? The instructor will hand out further instructions as well as a grading rubric for the paper in the classroom. The second week of class will be dedicated to the process of organizing and finalizing the groups.
The following features need to be included in the proposal:
(a) the developmental task of adolescents that is taken into consideration (for exa
mple, why it was selected and why it is so important; the developmental tasks include autonomy, identity, romantic intimacy, sexuality, and accomplishment)
(b) the logistics of the program, including the audience, the duration and length of the program, the location of the program (give some thought to the questions of who, what, when, and where); the primary goals of the program
(c) the scope of work for the project (for instance, a specific illustration of the methods and approaches that will be used in order to achieve the desired results)
(d) Connections to aspects of the PYD
e) how the program will be evaluated (for example, how will you determine whether or not your program is effective).
