Computer Science Question

Overview

For this assignment, you will document (using video or another method) a set of step-by-step instructions to a specific audience that will train them on how to do something. In other words, create training material.

If by the end of your tutorial I can say, “Now I know how to… (do whatever I am supposed to learn from your training material)”, then you’ve accomplished the goal!

Note: This is an individual assignment. Although some parts of the assignment can be shared with your Capstone team, all submitted work must be your own. If outside sources are used, they need to be cited/credited accordingly.

Required Elements

Based on your team’s Capstone Project, for any topic that you decide to cover in your tutorial, the following are required:

A short overview or introduction of the project. You should describe who is the intended audience for your tutorial. This may be shared with your Capstone team.

Initial login or some essential steps to get to the part of the system that you will be explaining/illustrating. This may be shared with your Capstone team.

Note: If you are not basing your tutorial on your Capstone Project, you must check with your instructor if the topic you have chosen is acceptable.

Product Tutorial:

1. If doing a video tutorial, the video should take between a minimum of 5 and maximum of 8 minutes. Again, the choice of media for the tutorial is up to you.

Please restrict the video to a 16:9 format (1080p resolution or higher) for ease of viewing and to keep in line with industry standards.

1. If doing a PowerPoint presentation or some other type of documentation, the minimum requirement is 10 (ten) slides or 500 words.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Your tutorial should include a section for FAQ, where you will include at least 4 (four) relevant questions related to the topic discussed in the tutorial and your answers to them.
