QUESTION:

Imagine you are responsible for the operations of Wynstan Blinds Doors Shutters and Awnings – Yennora (NSW), and you are assessing the way they operate. The sales and design of the product(s) required are the responsibility of the Sales Manager. Your responsibility and analysis start at the moment the design is ready and the sale has been closed. From that moment, you are responsible for analysing the steps from ordering materials and components to installation and after-service.

You are required to complete the following: Develop a process mapping chart using CANVA for identifying the supply chain’s key steps from the sale’s close until the end product is installed and paid. Identify the capacity measures and key performance objectives the business could use for the production/installation and justify why these would be suitable.

Create a one to two-page detailed process mapping chart (i.e., a visual representation showing the different production elements of the sandwich from start to finish) identifying the key steps from the beginning of the product supply chain to the end product is sold.

• Your process map should include inputs, outputs, controls and resources. Please use any relevant template available to create this visual representation.
• From what you’ve identified in the process map, consider each of the five performance
• objectives (quality, speed, dependability, flexibility, cost) and assess the effectiveness of delivering on each objective from the processes they use by applying the theories and concepts studied
