You can discuss general aspects of the assignment with other students, but do not give/share specific answers. If you use artificial intelligence tools, such as ChatGPT, you must reference the tool, indicate version, and give your “prompt”. Students that copy (plagiarism) from other students or sources will receive a “0” and be reported to the FWSOP Academic Conduct Committee (both the copier and the copied students). A patient with rheumatoid arthritis has just experienced treatment with methotrexate as first-line therapy. Unfortunately the patient had elevation of liver enzymes much more than 3X the upper limit of normal and will now start second-line therapy. In class lecture on March 22 date, four second-line therapies were presented: sulfasalazine, leflunamide, JAK inhibitor, and anti-TNF. Your assignment is to list one positive and one negative feature of each therapy that might be a reason to recommend (or not recommend) that therapy for the patient. Your report should include a table with a column of the four therapies and a separate column for the positive and negative aspects. While some information may be obtained from the lecture slides, you will likely need to search for information from another resource, such as MicroMedex or UpToDate. Be sure to have a header page on your report with your name, course number, assignment name, and date.
