This week’s chapter discusses the history and evolution of the advertising industry in the country. This assignment asks you to discuss an ad that you find memorable. Select an advertisement you watched recently that caught your attention. This could be a video ad or a print ad or a digital ad on a website. It could be an ad for a product, experience or service. Take a few moments to go through the ad carefully, then answer the following questions:
Describe what’s going on in the ad. What is it selling? Who is the target demographic? What elements does the ad use to target this demographic? Explain clearly how the ad appeals to this particular demographic (what visuals, music, setting, colors, people does it use?).
Why did this particular ad catch your attention? What, according to you, makes it memorable? Be sure to provide a link to the ad or upload a clear picture of the ad so we can see what you’re referring to.
Briefly critique the ad: What is missing? What would have increased its appeal? Is there anything it could have addressed better?

Response does not answer the prompt in any thoughtful way, has so many errors of grammar, spelling, or punctuation that the response is incoherent, does not reference chapter concepts or supplemental materials: 20 – 29 points
