Living Change Assignment Instructions Purpose: Reflecting on a real change (past or desired future) will personalize the concept of change and deepen the student’s understanding of the dynamics of Voice, relationships, and stress on leading and living through change. Course Objective: Discover how to navigate change and mitigate stress through healthy habits and rhythms. Instructions: 1. Identify a significant life change you would like to reflect on. a. This could be a recent change you have experienced OR a desired change you would like to make. b. The recent change may be a stress experience you identified in the Stress Assessment. 2. Name the key participants involved in the situation. Use pseudonyms if necessary to preserve confidentiality. 3. Discuss concepts from the course to this point in understanding the dynamics around the change experience: a. Voice perspective: what perspective would each Voice bring to the situation? b. Stress: how might stress (or potential stress) affect the responses of this involved? c. Resilience: how can individuals leverage their Voice superpower to help those involved persevere d. Change cycle: how can you lead or influence the participants through the dynamics of change e. 5 Why’s: ask “why” 5 times and follow the line of questioning to better understand the root issue 4. Hypothesize how the interconnectedness of Voice, stress, and change impacted the outcome (or could impact the outcome). Discuss how the outcome could have changed or been improved if greater awareness had been made to these dynamics during the experience. 5. Reflection should be no more than 2-3 pages.
