KIN 363 CAP 2: Introductory Activity & Fitness Development Demonstration
Create a 10 – 15 minute video of you physically demonstrating two introductory activities from chapter 13 and the two fitness development activities from chapter 14. Select two introductory activities from chapter 13. One of these activities will be the introductory activity for your CAP 3 lesson plan in week 6. You will teach and physically demonstrate the two activities. If the activity requires more than one person to do, then you can ask for volunteers to be in your video or simply teach how to play the activity. In your video, 1) first briefly introduce yourself, 2) what grade level you are teaching, and 3) the title of the introductory activities and page reference in the book. You must teach and physically demonstrate the skills. Make sure you practice the introductory activities before you record. You will be graded on correctly teaching the activity (cognitive learning domain) and correctly physically demonstrating the skills of the activity (psychomotor learning domain). This video does not require anyone other than you in the video. If you would like to include others such as children in the video that is optional (and wonderful) however you need to still demonstrate the activities. Have fun! (but demonstrate correctly). Next, select two physical fitness activities from chapter 14. One of these activities will be the physical fitness activity for your CAP 3 lesson plan in week 6. You will teach and physically demonstrate the two fitness activities. State the title of each fitness activity and page reference in the book. Identify if the activity is health-related physical fitness or skill-related physical fitness AND which component/s (i.e. muscular strength, flexibility). Identify which developmental level the activity is (I or II) (We’re doing kinder-2nd grade development 1) You must teach and physically demonstrate the skills. Make sure you practice the fitness activities before you record. You will be graded on correctly teaching the activity (cognitive learning domain) and correctly physically demonstrating the skills of the activity (psychomotor learning domain).
