Design Question
Design task 1: Products I love and hate The first week’s design task is straightforward. Explore your room/flat/house and find an object that you think is well-designed and an object that you believe is poorly designed. Carefully consider both these objects’ form and function as well as the role they play in your life. For the object you love, what makes you love it? Likewise, for the object you dislike, what makes you dislike it? Describe the objects and write a short design critique on each of them, highlighting the key aspects that you find interesting and making you either love or hate the objects you’ve chosen. Your answer should be no longer than 500 words, in English. Feel free to add any images, sketches, or illustrations that help you convey what you mean. However, your text and visuals combined need to fit on a single A4 page. Please upload your answer as a PDF file using Canvas. Each of the 6 design tasks will be individually graded from 0-5 points. Your combined points for all 6 design tasks will then be added together to form your total score for Assignment 2 (i.e. 0-30 points). The deadline for submitting Design Task 1 is next Friday, April 5, at 23:59.
