Part 1: Digital Toolkit  

While researching methods for communicating with families and colleagues using technology, create a digital toolkit using any web-based program (e.g., Trello, Evernote) to collect virtual communication tools and strategies. Organize your toolkit to include the following:

Communicating with Families

Provide five digital tools (e.g., apps, platforms) for communicating with families. Ensure at least one tool assists with communicating assessment data with families. Include the following for each tool:

Brief description, including a link to the app or site

Benefits and disadvantages

How you envision using the tool in your classroom

Communicating with Colleagues

Provide five strategies or digital tools for communicating with colleagues, such as other grade level teachers or specialists. Ensure at least one is a digital tool. Include the following for each strategy or tool:

Brief description, including a link to the app or site if applicable

How the strategy or tool can incorporate or support the appropriate use of data and guide educational decisions when collaborating with colleagues about student needs  

How the strategy or tool can promote collaboration for developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive instruction through deeper reflection of students' individual abilities, interests, cultural, and linguistic needs     

Part 2: Reflection

In 250-500 words, reflect on plans to effectively communicate and collaborate with families and colleagues to support the learning of young children. Include the following in your reflection:

How you plan to partner with families and colleagues to appropriately communicate data about developmental progress and guide educational decisions  

How you will use professional communication skills, including appropriate use of technology when collaborating with families and colleagues 

Support your deliverable with a minimum of two scholarly resources.
