A research proposal must include:
1- Tentative Scope (of your study): This is where you tell us what you’re doing? It
includes 1-2 sentences as to why your topic is important to the study of
contemporary world akairs, the parameters of your research study, (For example,
what time period are you focusing on in your assessment), tentative research
questions, tentative thesis, statement, and tentative definition of major terms
1- Tentative Research Strategy: Conceptual/theoretical approach
2- Tentative Outline that you might use as subheadings in your paper
3- No conclusion! How could you? You haven’t written the paper yet.
4- Ttentative “Works Cited” page. Use library resources such as books, scholarly
journals, newspapers, government documents, and so forth, to support and
elaborate upon the findings in your paper for your particular leader, group or
organization. The more sources you use in your paper “the merrier.” Internet sites
must be of high substantial quality such as the Brookings Institution, Council on
Foreign Relations and so forth.

Define and explain the approach(es) that will be used. Obviously, you should be
using a political psychological approach and/or any others such as a historical-
analytical approach, sociological, anthropological, etc.? Are you using a particular
methodology: Quantitative? Qualitative? If so, define and explain it
2- Tentative Outline of your Analysis:
-List vertically the tentative topics of your paper. These will serve as the subheadings
of your paper. List titles. Nothing more. For example, the scope of your paper will
constitute your Introduction than subtopics of your paper listed in order of the
development of your paper.
