Scenario

As a lead teacher in your program you see assessment as essential to supporting children’s development and informing your instructional practice. One of your professional goals this year is to compare observation documentation and assessment approaches to improve the alignment with the age of the child, desired data, and program requirements.

You plan on providing a comparison chart of assessment methods and models during your upcoming teaching evaluation with your administrator.

Step Two: Create a comparison chart to provide the following information for each method/model in a chart format. Content must be original writing and not copied and pasted into the chart.

• Description for how the method/model would be used, including who completes the method/model
• Explain 2 benefits of the methods/models
• Explain 2 questions you have or challenges you might face in using the methods/models
