As an informatics specialist, your hospital leadership team has asked you to create a data analytics report on lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and potential recommendations going forward. You must analyze a significant amount of data to identify opportunities to improve processes and patient outcomes. This process will allow you to solve problems and suggest ways to positively impact your workplace and community.

Using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID Data Tracker, select a dataset that interests you (e.g., hospital trends, vaccinations, health equity, special populations). 

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word analysis of your selected dataset. In your analysis:

Analyze the implications of the data findings in a health care setting (e.g., COVID trends in emergency departments).

Recommend ideas for improving the following areas in your health care setting:

Patient care and outcomes

• Financial and operational performance
• Patient engagement and satisfaction
• Explain how you would implement each of your recommendations (e.g., education program).
• Consider other settings that may be involved(e.g., OBGYNs, referrals).
