What I learned from the Ted talk is that sports and physical activity is that it keeps kids active. Sports Helps in improving Sleep Quality. Regular exercise can help you get better quality sleep. Physical activity depletes energy. Health Benefits of Sports. You may prefer the solitude of a good run but there are social and health benefits to participating in team sports. Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health. Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Sports are a way to stay healthy and in shape, but their importance goes much further. As a matter of fact, playing sports teaches life lessons like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, accountability, and teamwork. Sports can help kids stay from depression. If you do not it is bad for your health and it give you a higher risks of becoming obese. Regular physical activity helps improve your overall health, fitness, and quality of life. It also helps reduce your risk of chronic conditions like obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, many types of cancer, depression and anxiety, and dementia. The increased blood flow raises the oxygen levels in your body. This helps lower your risk of heart diseases such as high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, and heart attack.

The Ted talk taught me that if kids do sports it helps them learn about teamwork. It increases cardiovascular fitness. healthy growth of bones muscles, ligaments and tendons. Improved coordination and balance. A greater ability to physically relax and, therefore, avoid the complications of chronic muscular tension such as headache or back ache. Not getting enough physical activity can lead to heart disease even for people who have no other risk factors. It can also increase the likelihood of developing other heart disease risk factors, including obesity, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes. Sports is exercise/physical activity with an objective and definite aim. Sports is exercise/physical activity with a purpose to overcome adversities and win. Playing sports helps release pressure and tension in a healthy and controlled way. Strengthens bones, muscles and joints – lowers risk of developing osteoporosis or joint problems such as arthritis. Helps to stabilize blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Helps to maintain your weight reduces body fat. Sports help children develop physical skills, get exercise, make friends, have fun, learn teamwork, learn to play fair, and improve self-esteem. Kids who participate in sports have stronger muscles and bones. It also helps keep their weight under control, which is important considering the child obesity problem we are seeing. Being active in sports will also help keep their heart healthy because it improves cardiovascular endurance Improving physical health was the No. 1 benefit parents gave for engaging their children in organized sports . Improved mental health, fun and enjoyment, promote teamwork and improved self-confidence were the next highest benefits identified by parents.
