Reflection

Reflection #2 gives you the freedom to share a review on a speech you have listened to recently.  This could be something you experienced in person, on TV, or online.  Examples might be a speaker at a campus event, or a presentation in a meeting, or a public figure on TV, a professor or student presenter in a class, or an interesting Ted-Talk or a speech you found on Youtube, or even a sermon/faith message, etc…   

In your reflection:

Tell me about the speaker, the setting, the target audience and the purpose of the speech.

Share your opinion on the overall effectiveness of the message for you as a listener.

• Describe what elements made the speech effective or ineffective.  Consider the content (ie was it interesting, accurate, how was it organized) and the delivery (both verbal, and nonverbal elements). 
• Would recommend this speech to others?  Why or why not.
