1.
Joint Application Development (JAD) and Rapid Application Development (RAD) both have advantages and disadvantages, with different outcomes based on the project. With JAD, users and developers collaborate to come up with the most solid systems requirement documentation, clear and concise for ideally all stakeholders (Tilley, 2019, p. 109). JAD could end up causing substantial overhead the larger the project, as it may involve more key stakeholders and potentially more time as a committee must agree upon the best requirements document as well as go under an approval process. RAD involves users from the beginning of development all the way to its completion, broken down into four phases: Requirements planning, user design, construction, and cutover (p. 111). Although a cheaper method, RAD could conflict with business goals as users and developers have more to do with the pace of a project as iterate through prototypes and testing (p. 112).
Upon learning of these two development approaches RAD seems more like the obvious choice. Although the system requirements are arguably the most important part of the development process, having the user with you every step of the way will ensure the most optimal user experience. Of course this depends on the quality of input from user feedback and the flexibility of the development team. Tilley (2019) states that it may conflict with business needs, but as a creative person, I can sometimes see how bureaucracy can get in the way of innovation. I might see a statement as such as a developer and say “You will thank me later.” I think user involvement within each SDLC iteration makes sure requirements are seen all the way through. As with any project, watching out for scope creep is essential. Having eager users is great for hype, but at the same time, would these be your key user to involve in such a delicate process?
2.
The major difference between RAD and JAD is that RAD focuses on small group, quick development and deployment, whereas JAD focuses on large joint group work, focusing on planning and feedback. RAD is more useful when creating unstructured projects, where you can quickly make multiple iterations and updates without needing a restart. JAD is better for complex projects to ensure quality before development begins.
Personally, I would choose based on the context of the project presented to me, but for the most part I would much rather use RAD, as it is the cheaper model that will cause ahead of schedule completion than getting held up in the planning space.

I do prefer template desgins for cover letters because it makes it easier to see what they are very good at. You need to use ATS because it is good to track where they have worked and what they do.
The relationship between the resume and the cover sheet is they both are needed when someone is reading your resume.

I prefer to use template designs for my resumes and cover letters. I prefer to use them because I am not so talented at making them look nice and more than just average, and because using a template ensures that I will save time and be more professional looking and more likely to hopefully catch the attention of could-be employers. I would need to use an ATS resume if I were to ever apply online for a job opening, or whenever I apply for a position at a large company. I would need to use an ATS resume to match the job descriptions of the job position I was applying to, to improve the visibility of my application, and to enhance the organization of my application because using an ATS resume can significantly improve my chances of being noticed by employers who use automated systems to manage job applications, particularly in larger organizations. I should think of the relationship between my resume and cover letter as complementary and that they should work together to present a cohesive and compelling case for why I would be the best candidate for the job. I should think about their relationship as my resume is a snapshot of my professional experiences and my cover letter as a personalized introduction customizing both documents for each application ensures that I am effectively addressing the employer’s needs and making a strong impression.
