Body Paragraph
There are many benefits to why social emotional learning should be taught in classrooms by student’s teachers. For starters, social emotional learning can improve student’s academics. Social emotional learning (SEL) has been proven to better children’s behaviors. If a child is constantly acting act, then they are not learning. If a child is not learning, it also means they are not meeting their academic requirements to succeed. Social emotional learning can better a child’s interpersonal skills. The way a child communicate with their peers and their teachers are very important because a positive relationship with their peers and classmates matters. Having a relationship with their peers and teachers will ensure the students likeliness to want to come to school each day. Social and emotional learning also influence the child’s emotional well-being. Being able to control their emotions and express their emotions in a healthy way. It is important when a child understands having a feeling, good or bad is normal. However, it is the way you respond to your feelings is what really matters. One of the goals that social emotional learning teach is for students to express themselves in a more healthier way.
I had to do a few parts for this assignment already that all follow behind eachother.
For example. I have an outline already. I also had to submit an introduction that I also received feedback from. This was my intoduction here .
Is social and emotional learning necessary to be taught in the classrooms? In the article, Playing Nicely with Others: Why Schools Should Teach Social and Emotional Learning, by the New York Times”, the article discussed the reasons why social and emotional learning should be necessary. What does that now look like in the classroom daily. Does that take away from other instructional time? The New York Times discussed the different reasons why and how social emotional learning is beneficial for the school, and lifetime strategies that children need to succeed. Social emotional learning also focus on different skills that helps support children behaviors they can benefit from in and outside of the classroom.
