In Part 1 of your post,

Compare and contrast the characteristics of the qualitative and quantitative research approaches.

For each research approach, address the following:

• Define each research approach.

Discuss the best uses of each research approach.

Describe various types of research methods for each approach.

• Determine the advantages and disadvantages of each approach.
• Distinguish the appropriate data collection mode(s) along with a sample size and type of data for each approach.
• Part 2:
• In Part 2 of your post, use the UAGC Library to investigate one of the following research method categories based on the first letter of your last name:
• A-I: qualitative research methods

J-R: quantitative research methods

S-Z: mixed methods

You may also search the UAGC Library databases for articles in relation to your research methods category.

• Read the article you selected and complete the following:
• Explain the characteristics of the research method in your selected research article.
• Describe the data collection and data analysis methods that are used in this type of research method.

Propose a research topic for which your selected research method would be suitable.
