Then choose one of the two images below to analyze after taking the time to contemplate the image. Please provide an authentic analysis or reading of your choice using the tools learned in the essay. Do not perform outside research on the photo. It should be a cold reading, which means no knowledge has been gathered on the photo. Write a few sentences for each of the three items below:

• Discuss the content or subject matter of the work
• Discuss the formal compositional elements such as form, light, dark, line, color, angle, clarity, contrast, blur, texture, etc.
• Discuss the context or meaning of the work (there are no right or wrong answers as meaning is personal and subjective)

Again, your reading should be authentic and without any outside influences such as photographer’s name, title of photo, and cultural and or social aspects. If you have seen the photo before, pick one you are not familiar with to complete this assignment. Do not perform outside research!
